Kenwood Jazz Blues & BBQ 2015 is the third annual fundraiser for Kenwood’s Plaza Park. This year ’s entertainment features top jazz and blues groups playing all afternoon on September 19, including Stephanie Ozer, Roger Glenn, Mark Adams and Karen Lovely, along with superb food available from Seed on the Go and Big Boy Barbecue and a variety of wines and beverages.

Stephanie Ozer, Jazz Pianist and local treasure, brings her 6 piece ensemble, highlighting the new Trio “As Três Meninas” (Fabiana Passoni vocals, and Ami Molinelli, percussion) performing high energy Brazilian Jazz. Sumptuous melodies and burning rhythms. Be prepared to move"

Karen Lovely presents passionate, driven performances of contemporary and old school blues. She has won seven Muddy Awards – Performance of the Year, Best Female Vocalist, Best New Act, Best Regional Act, and many more accolades.

Roger Glenn Jazz Organ Trio most recently wowed audiences as the opening act touring with Steely Dan. As a second-generation Jazz master, playing standard Jazz and Latin Jazz, Glenn is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, and entertainer on the vibes, flute, and sax, having won a Grammy for his flute playing with Cal Tjader on "La Onda Va Bien".

Mark Adams played with Mike Bloomfield and Nick Gravenites for 30 years and electrifies audience with his vibrant and eclectic harmonica styles. His Muskadine Blues Quartet is based in Ashland, Oregon, and plays its very personal style of the blues.

On the gourmet side of the day, Seed on the Go features a fully equipped vegan kitchen cooking up a surprising variety of tasty foods, including pizza, BBQ, and less traditional forms as well as a full palette of vegetarian entrées

Big Boy Bar-B-Que is well known to North Bay BBQ fans, providing great and tasty BBQ in

Sonoma, Marin and beyond.

 

Tickets are now available at the Kenwood Press, the Vineyards Inn and Swede’s Feeds. Lawn seating tickets are $40 and VIP table seating is available for $75, which includes a seat at a regular table and a complimentary drink ticket. Reserved tables for eight can be bought for $700.
